Is the roundup missing? No, it isn’t, at least I have been thinking about it, but just not have had the time to do it! I am going to try and do it tomorrow if possible. If I don’t do it, we will pretend that this is round up 29 and move on to next week.
I have been very busy baking a lot of sourdough loaves and many, many bagels. The first batch of bagels I did were definitely a sight to behold. As I have practiced and looked at more videos they have improved in shape and texture.
My main issue right now is getting into the swing of baking a regular amount of things to a set time. The bagels take more time due to the boiling process which adds an extra dimension. Getting them baked in time along with a sourdough has proven (no pun intended) to be a bit of a juggling act. I have the timings for the bagels down pretty well, now I just need to tame the sourdough.

I followed the recipe as usual and it turned out very well. I don’t know if it is too rich, but I enjoyed a few nibbles with a glass of milk!
Anyway, that is pretty much it for last week. This week I shall endeavour to bake a few more things, hopefully a lemon drizzle cake if I have the time! No doubt I will be rushing around trying to get other things made as well. On top of this, I am looking at the possibility of another side business which would help keep my bank manager happy. Whether or not this is possible, I shall have to see and take a bit more time to look into. Until the next post… goodbye and happy baking!
